Early Christmas Dinner

Last night, we had an early Christmas dinner with Ken's family. Since we'll be leaving for Singapore next Monday with my siblings and parents, we manage to arrange for an early get-together as schedule is really tight when it is close to Christmas, plus we have wedding dinner to attend too.

We had japanese buffet at Saisaki, no photos to update since they ban Eric & Jessy to take photos in their premise, most probably both of them look too professional hehe. Anyhow, will try to upload some pics which ken took with his phone.

Saisaki is one of the best japanese buffet i have ever tried for their variety of food. They not only serve japanese food, they also serve korean, oriental and western food.

Speaking of japanese food, me and my colleagues went to Ninja Jones at Mid Valley few weeks ago. Those who had been there usually give positive comments to the ambience and food. The price is more and less similiar to Sushi King but they have more choices and specialities which makes them different from others. The entrance to the restaurant looks like a cave and you have to press the button to open the 'cave door' hehe. I particularly like the ambience of the interior, you feel separated from the hectic world and fulled of calm and peace. Oh ya, all their waiters dress in Ninja suits and they will run around in the restaurant to give you a shock. It's worth a try!

Parents In Law

I did a scrappage for my parents in law over the weekends. It's done using kit designed by my sis called Forever & Always, you can get more of it at her blog.

I'm going to print this out and give it to my in-laws for Christmas.

Christmas Present!!!

We're so happy cos we managed to buy christmas presents for Everyone in just one day!!! Here are all the gifts been wrapped up. Guess which one is yours?

Other than that, we bought two new sets of Christmas bedsheet and quilt cover for ourselves hehe

My Birthday!

First of all, thanks to those who sms and wished me, on time or belated, i really appreciate it.

Ken got me a birthday present, something which i never expect him to buy hehe

Maybe after staying together for some time, he found out his wife actually appreciates body and skin care products. So he bought the Satsuma Body Scrub and Body Lotion from TheBodyShop.

I tried it for the first time last night, the smell is so refreshing and i like the body lotion lots as it absorbs almost immediately when i apply it. I don't even feel the stickiness, yet the skin feel satinly smooth and moistured after applying.

Ken said it's meant for recuperating from chick pox and skin renewal :)

THANKS!!!

Weekends Breakaway

Last week, Ken was away to Bangkok for his company conference. My nephew, Brandon, came over and stay with me to keep me company. We bought a Christmas tree, a green one since the previous we had is a white one, and managed to decorate it as a surprise for Ken when he came back. This year, i decorated the window with leaves and lightings as well.

Tomorrow, Ken and me will be going 'somewhere' for weekend breakaway. Had not been spending time together for the past few weeks due to hectic schedule. I hope this short trip will help refresh and rejuvenate ourselves before getting back to work on Monday.

Will update with all pics soon.

Yoga Stunt!

Okie, when i was trying out some yoga poses last weekend, i ended up spraining my hand. It's not something complicated like this:
or this: But it's just a pose like this:
Now my hand look like this:

(Thanks to my husband (former St John) with the bandage =P)

Lesson Learnt: Never try the above poses without supervision of certified Yoga trainer!

Work, Sleep, Then Go to Work again

Ken is annoyed with the same question i post to him almost every night.
"Why do we have to go to work everyday, come back sleep then next day go to work again?" haha.... he just doesn't know how to answer it.

When i was sick back then, i wish i could go back to work and feel normal. But when i am back at work, i don't feel like going through the same routine everyday. Perhaps it's just a hint for me to start thinking what i really want to do and most importantly, enjoy doing. Anyway, life is not fair that sometimes we just have to do something we don't enjoy in order to make ends meet. Doing things we don't enjoy doesn't mean we couldn't do it well. Ok, enough with all the nonsense.

I've started planning for Christmas, wonder how should i decorate the house for Christmas, wish we can have something different this year.

Happy!

I can't help myself but to post this page.

I miss my nieces and family in Kuching. And also Happy, my sis dog, he's not merely a pet but also a guard dog to the family. Ken is particularly fond of him and will volunteer to feed him, which i shall not do at this moment haha. Happy can gobble down a Big Mac without chewing it, and when he stands up, he's as tall as Ken. Yes, better believe it.

p/s: I can't wait to go back to see my complete Yoga set, it's just been delivered to my in-law's place hehehe

Rabbit or Cat? Cat or Rabbit?

Ken has been busy with his new job and has not time to update blog.

He has been running around to several FF branches and site-surveying for the new branch as well.

Time really flies and he's with the company for one month already, which means, i'm back to work from mc for one month as well.

It's going to be a long holiday for me next week as i'm taking a day off next friday. Haven't planned for anything yet but i do hope we can go somewhere to relax and rejuvenate ourselves. Moreover, I have yet to utilize the RM700 travel voucher which my company rewarded last year. Any good suggestion?

Togetherness

Sweet Memories

Rantings by MM

Recently, i've been visiting blog of Marina M to keep myself up-to-date with our beloved Tun Dr Mahathir's health progress. I prefer to find out from the immediate family rather than newspaper as she talks a lot more about personal stuff and actual progress of his father. Hence, she conveys the message in her blog more as a role of a daughter than a reporter trying to fill up the column on paper to attract readers.

Tun Dr Mahathir used to be such a big icon to the nations, and he still is (at least for me he is). Nobody can deny the contributions he had made to our country thus far. I hope the nations will keep TDM in their prayers for his speedy recovery.

Morning Downpour

Mum and Dad went back to Kuching yesterday. After sending them off to airport, somehow i feel everything has quiet down. Then i realise i am so used to their companion for these two weeks, and i start to miss them already. I wish they can stay longer.

When i woke up unwillingly this morning, there's no longer fresh delicious breakfast and beverage on the table waiting for me. I just missed my mum's cooking, whatever she cooks, it always taste so good. And the nostalgic songs which my dad play every morning, i don't really like the songs, but somehow it helps to soothe my mind before leaving for the jams and rat race.

I'm planning for them to come down and stay with us again, and definitely stay longer this time.

Back to the "Throne"

This is what i got when i was back to work. My colleagues have been thoughtful and prepared some little surprises upon my 'arrival':

1. Greeting Card with lotsa sweet wishes, some says they miss me, some asks me not to work too hard, and some ask me to stop pretending to be sick!

2. Cutey Teddy bear, comes with Famous Amos cookies, they gobbled up the cookies (since i still can't consume choc contained food) before i could snap the pic of it

3. Hand-made pencil case, sweetie Grace hand-made it from strips of magazine and added some embellishment on it, so sweet.....

Thanks all...

Ken's been Simpsonized!

I was back at work since last week. My boss has given me the luxury of keeping myself updated with the current issues before starting the actual work. In other words, not assigned to any task yet =P
While surfing, i came across with this cool website "Simpsonizeme" where it transforms your photo to become the simpson avatar. I tried it out with Ken's photo instead hehehe.

Kenneth Simpson Tham

The Simpsons brings back the sweet childhood memory of mine, I still remember my parents bought me a simpson watch (original one, not those pasar malam one, ok), which was also my very first watch, knowing that i am a big fan of Simpson and of coz i passed my UPSR with flying colors. My family was not as rich then, buying such watch is a luxury. I really appreciate what my parents had sacrificed for me. I love you, Mum and Dad!

Short Update

It's been a long time since the last update. A lot of things had happened, as planned and some unpredictably.

Ken started his new job at Fitness First in Sept. He's enthusiastic about his new job, it's a good start. I'm really proud of him as he's venturing into another level of his career.

As some of you might aware, i was hospitalised early August and was diagnosed with GERD or simply known as acid reflux. After going through various scopes and scans, doctor concluded that it's both GERD and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndromes). Unfortunately, as i was drafting this post, i was still resting at home, on medication. I was unable to work as i have frequent gastric, heartburn, giddiness and sleepless nights. It's not easy on me as it takes very long time and patience to recover. I really appreciate the prayers, well wishes and encouragement from close friends (Thanks Rebecca and Shanti), colleagues and families. Especially my loving husband for lending me shoulder to cry on, parents who flew from kch to take care of me, siblings who bought a lot of tonic and ginseng for me (hehe), in-laws who took care of me. I hope i can get well soon and back to work by this week.

Ciao.....

Meeting up with the gang

Since Darshine and Jean Nee was back, we decided to meet up for lunch last sunday. Paul was working (playing in his company football tournament) so he didn't feature in the photos below. It was like our normal chit-chatting lunch and we decided to have it at the new Metro Point.

We were happilly ordering and waiting for our food in Secret Recipe until Jean Nee showed up. He thunderous voice meant that we were suddenly the attention of the entire place. When her pumpkin soup and coffee finally arrived, our ear drums were given a break... haha.. she wasn't that loud lar.

I asked Tim about Ken Yi, and apparently he is back in Aussie dy. Hhmm.. wonder why he left so soon, even before we could say hi or had lunch with him. Must be wea re too busy, or he was too busy with someone else in PJ... hehe...

Just for the record, Darshini agreed to treat us to lunch when we visit Melbourne coz she had no money to pay for lunch :)

It was nice to catch up with old pals and update each other over a meal. Till next time :)

G...L...A...M...O...R...OUS.......

Hello.... i'm back and still alive. Yeah, it's been ages since my last update, can't help it cos was overwhelned by work. Didn't even have time to login to msgr and check my emails. Pheww... finally the first stage of the project had come to end but there are still a lot more to work on.

Few weeks back, i met Bro. Raymond at the train station and i was told that my pictures is published on the wedding magazines, AGAIN... yes, again. I had one of pre-wedding pic taken at Covershots pulished on Weddings Malaysia directory. The editor Weddings Malaysia did inform me of using my pic for this year's publication but the i was not informed of the later one. After checking with Desiree and confirmed the magazine in which is published - Style Wedding Magazine. Immediately after alighting from train, i rushed to MPH to grab a copy. Lucky enough, there's one copy left. It's actually the Ads from That Special Occasion and Event Wizard. That Special Occasion being my gown maker and partner of our photographer, they selected a pic of me taken during our Garden Wedding at Cyberview, which myself and ken is very fond of too. Besides these two being published on mags, there's another one being posted online at Weddings Malaysia website.
