Meeting up with the gang

Since Darshine and Jean Nee was back, we decided to meet up for lunch last sunday. Paul was working (playing in his company football tournament) so he didn't feature in the photos below. It was like our normal chit-chatting lunch and we decided to have it at the new Metro Point.

We were happilly ordering and waiting for our food in Secret Recipe until Jean Nee showed up. He thunderous voice meant that we were suddenly the attention of the entire place. When her pumpkin soup and coffee finally arrived, our ear drums were given a break... haha.. she wasn't that loud lar.

I asked Tim about Ken Yi, and apparently he is back in Aussie dy. Hhmm.. wonder why he left so soon, even before we could say hi or had lunch with him. Must be wea re too busy, or he was too busy with someone else in PJ... hehe...

Just for the record, Darshini agreed to treat us to lunch when we visit Melbourne coz she had no money to pay for lunch :)

It was nice to catch up with old pals and update each other over a meal. Till next time :)

G...L...A...M...O...R...OUS.......

Hello.... i'm back and still alive. Yeah, it's been ages since my last update, can't help it cos was overwhelned by work. Didn't even have time to login to msgr and check my emails. Pheww... finally the first stage of the project had come to end but there are still a lot more to work on.

Few weeks back, i met Bro. Raymond at the train station and i was told that my pictures is published on the wedding magazines, AGAIN... yes, again. I had one of pre-wedding pic taken at Covershots pulished on Weddings Malaysia directory. The editor Weddings Malaysia did inform me of using my pic for this year's publication but the i was not informed of the later one. After checking with Desiree and confirmed the magazine in which is published - Style Wedding Magazine. Immediately after alighting from train, i rushed to MPH to grab a copy. Lucky enough, there's one copy left. It's actually the Ads from That Special Occasion and Event Wizard. That Special Occasion being my gown maker and partner of our photographer, they selected a pic of me taken during our Garden Wedding at Cyberview, which myself and ken is very fond of too. Besides these two being published on mags, there's another one being posted online at Weddings Malaysia website.

100th Post

This is the 100th post in our blog. Vans and I decided to pay tribute to some of the dearest people in our lives, our family. We have had dinner with our families over the last 2 weekends. We try to do it at least once a week.
Tim took us to a nice restaurant quite high up the hill in Hulu Langat, and this is the view during sunset. Its a nice lil' cozy place, but a bit dark so the pictures didn't turn out too well.Hhmm... wonder why everyone busy meddling with their phones... haha me included as I snapped this using my phone, my main camera nowadays :)Let's try something retro style, Vans in sepia...Tim advised us to order food with the word "Special", so I ordered "Special Grilled Chicken". When it arrived, the waiter poured in the gravy and whoa... just look at the smoke ... hehe... Thought I didn't capture a good picture of the nite view but this one turn out pretty well. And last weekend we were out with Vans' family in Saisaki, which we plan to bring my family there too for my dad's birthday. I know he doesn't have a clue about blogs so he won't find out haha:) We had a fun time there, the food was nice and most of us were too full to even move by the end of the nite. Even the kids enjoyed the food so much.Wah just look at all thse food on the plate... yummy... and when she finally stopped eating, decided to take picture with mum and myself :DBrandon being his usual self, hhmm Uncle Kenneth, this is nice, try one...!!!
Cute Julian was quite clueless what was happening but still enjoyed the food .And Brian was enjoying every bit of his fries and ice-cream, even found time to pose steadily as I capture these moments on pure enjoyment :D

A lot have happened over the 2 years+ since we first started this blog. Our marital status has changed, and it has been the same for a lot of our friends. We have spend countless weekends with familes & friends celebrating birthdays and such. We have done our fair bit of travelling and look forward to more travels together.

Moving forward we hope to record another 100 post of interesting events so that we can look back and remember our journey together.

Anniversary

10th July 2007 marks 1 year since we were registered. I tested Vans through a series of questions to see if she remembered, and true to my expectation, she forgotten.

So I went ahead to prepare a small lil' surprise for her. I booked a bouquet of teddies through one of the online sites and had it delivered to her office.

She had to collect it at the lobby since the security did not allow the delivery guy to go up her office so she got "Wows..." and "Ohh..." and "Aww..." all the way from the lobby to her cubicle. And she still didn't know what happened till she read the note :D

I got Vans to take a pic of the bouquet which she was too shy to take home on the train, so it is now sitting on her desk, breeding envy among her colleagues (i hope not).

My Birthday

About a week ago, we agreed to do steamboat on my birthday. Since we've just done steamboat a couple of weeks ago, and BBQ (unofficially in Eric's place) last month. We decided to experiment on something else.

We set out to prepare a meal with coleslaw, baked potatoes, teriyaki chicken and mushroom soup. Sounds easy eh? Too bad I didn't get any shots of the process, so I can only share photos of the dinner. This is the main course, prepared by Vans & I
Wah, everyone busy eating
Tim trying out our new exercise bike, yes, I know we need more exercise :)Tim & Eric cracking some jokesWah... durian time!!!
We had durian for dessert thanks to my mum and dad. Everyone was full as we could be, but we still had to find some space to fit in the cake :)
Last but not least, Vans insisted I take a picture of the T-shirt that she bought me, can you recognize the place in the shirt? (Stamford Brigde)
