Back from Kuching

Just came back from Kuching yesterday. Nothing is more enjoyable than eating, watching tv and sleeping during CNY (eating home-cook dishes-my mum's specialty, watching fav movies, and sleep with my old blanket hehehe). Of coz nothing beats the precious reunion of family members - my parents, brother and sisters as well as my nieces and nephews. The kids are so cute, they have grown up a lot..... Anson can speak much more than before and Andy can walk steadily..... LeAnn can speak more clearly now, but still talk with her pacifier in her mouth.Lydia is still as smart, and she really cares about her little sister LeAnn.

Suddenly all my sweet and bitter memories came back to me when i stepped into my room.... the old class group photos, the crafts i made, my story books, my computer table, my young sweet looking photos hehe...... Mum had re-arraged all my stuff and clear off the dust on my dolls, koala bears, all kind of bears were wrapped in see-thru wrapping papers.... the only difference is i'm no longer sleeping in that room...sob sob... forgot to mention that it is also the place where i chatted with my husband-to-be for the very first time....

This year CNY is a bit more quiet than the previous ones. Other than Ken not following me back to kch, some of frens didn't go back to hometown too. Sad that didn't manage to meet up with some of my close frens like CY, CB and Hui Fang, she's going to give birth to her first baby girl end of Feb, too bad i can't stay until then... However, my form-5 classmates didn't miss their house-to-house visiting every year, that is the only chance i could catch up with most of them.
This year, the topics are very different, everyone is talking about getting married, setting up family.... wow... time really flies.... can't believe i'm breaking the news of me getting married too....

Looks like my parents had spread my wedding date to our relatives, i was bombarded with Qs when visiting the uncles and aunties. Some aunties had started planning with my mum for my wedding. The funny thing is.... my mum had already bought us a pair of cock and hen....with chicks!!!! haha..(fyi, the chicks are the sign of fertility)

Received a lot of big ang pows... but less than previous years lar.... this would be the very last year to grab ang pow already.... Next year need to give ang pow!!!! So Ken, i'll get ready the ang pow packets, you get ready the $$$ hehehe.....

So sad to leave my parents but so happy to see Ken again... miss him lots....
