"Our first real achievement for the house!" exclaimed Vans, to a certain degree is true. We've bought a couple of things (more like a whole load of stuff) for the house, but this is the first real thing on, or should I say "IN" the house. We are pretty satisfied with the outcome and now the works for the kitchen, wiring and lightings will begin.
We bought the hood and hob about 2 weeks ago. Met with the contractor doing the concrete table for the kitchen, wiring, and plaster ceiling last week. Over the weekend we checked out some lightings for the house, so we have it more or less covered.
Will sneak out at about 12pm today to meet up with the contractor to confirm the "scope of work" and get a final figure how much the whole thing will cost, and the works should proceed tomorrow and last for about a week.
We had a rather busy weekend with my auntie Rachel dropping by our place on her way back to Thailand after visiting her children in India. Guess we'll have another busy weekend again as Vans will be having a fitting for her evening gown (done by Anna, That Special Occasion).

"Four Seasons" Paintings
Last week, went to check out the Career Fair at Midvalley, nothing much that seemed appealing to us. Maybe most of the company there were targeting for fresh grads.
We had late lunch, there was a long queue in front of the shop even it's already close to 4pm, wondering these ppl are here for lunch or dinner, luckily we went in few mins earlier and not caught in the long queue.
We saw these "Four Seasons" paintings at Jusco and just couldn't get our eyes off them. There are together four pieces of chinese paintings representing the four seasons. We thought that would be a good decoration for our living room as the wall is still empty hehe....Ken thinks that we need something 'chinese' to make our house more 'homely'.... so here it is....

Necklace, Lunch & Grille
Last weekend was another hectic one. We finally decided to have our grille done up by the company in Sg Long (Chee Sing, in which Vans always refer to as Chee Sin). But our schedule for saturday was actually quite flexible, thinking that we have the whole day to ourselves we set our for some light shopping in Midvalley. Vans have long eyed a particular necklace that complimented her dress very well. After checking our different variations of the similar model, we nailed in and chosed the necklace, fearing that it wouldn't be here the next time we came (Van's curse). She was all smiles as we marked another item in our list "Done & Paid".
(not this one... hehe.. Vans maintain her anonymity policy )
Suh Hong, our unofficial introducer, who till this day blame himself for introducing me to Vans called for lunch. So we waited to him to come but at 1pm, he was still stucked in Ampang, so we moved to Times Square instead. Time really flies when you are enjoying yourself and it was already 4:30 when we were done. Fearing that it was a bit late for us to visit Chee Sing, we rescheduled to the next day.
Sunday is always relaxing. Went for mass in the morning, sent Van's car for service. Those done, we only had 2 other things to complete, watch Pink Panther and visit Chee Sing. We have been keeping the Pink Panther vcd for more than 2 weeks, so we finally found time to watch it. Was acceptable, not as hilarious as I thought it would be.
So we went to see Mr. Lai and negotiated about the price, design and everything. It was done in about 40 minutes, paid RM1,200 deposit. The rest to be paid upon completion, which is scheduled to be within 1-2 weeks. Vans was very happy that we are finally having the grille done up so it will be there in 2 weeks time, and we'll show the pics then. So its time to attack the next item on the list, Hood & Hob for the kitchen.
