Although we were busy preparing for our own wedding, we took time off the last 2 weekends to attend our friend's wedding. It has been a long since Vans & I attended a Malay wedding so we were quite lost at times. But nonetheless we drove all the way to Section 17 in Shah Alam to attend my ex-colleague Shary & Rose's wedding.

It was a hot sunday afternoon with its normal dreaded weather, so the least we could do is to turn up. We thought the "bersanding" would take place at 1pm, as stated on the invite but they only arrive around 2:30pm. So we waited patiently and sweatingly. The "ordeal" was over at about 3pm. We quickly took photos with the bride and groom, both good friends while they were still sharing the same office, bade our farewell and rushed home.

Hui Sing's wedding on the other hand, was the total extreme compared the ceremonious and hot (typical) malay wedding. Her's was in informal pool-side wedding party on a saturday nite. On a saturday nite that England was playing their opening group match against Paraguay. Well, it wasn't too hard to make the decision to skip it as friend's wedding is always more important. You never know they give the same excuse, or reason to skip yours when it comes round. The pool-side setting in a condo block located in Damansara Perdana was perfect. The cool breeze from the hill, the serenade sound of the occasional splashing emanating from the swimmers makes the whole environment so inviting and informal. Vans meet some primary school-mates that she hasn't seen for ages.

Attending people's wedding makes you think and wonder if yours is going to be as smooth and trouble-free as theirs, and we are working our very best to ensure our family and friends brings home great memories from our wedding :)
